untitled
Here is another poem by Michael Leunig. From what I know, he was born in Melbourne and gave up the corporate rat race to become a full time writer and now lives on a farm in North East Victoria. All his scribbles have a greater meaning to life with a twist of humour!

War poem
As part of International studies, I have read a little on World war 1 and the 2nd world war. Occasionally I come across poems, that make one think back to those who died fighting for peace.

Embittered Crushed
Written by La Vida a.k.a. S&M. Yet another find on fictionpress.com. I liked his/her poems. (I can't figure out whether the poet is male or female, I think they play from different genders) They're pretty powerful but I especially liked this one. If anyone has read Prep by Curtis Sittenfeld, they'd enjoy the poem more. I read it a while back and then I read this poem and the name the poet mentioned seemed familiar. It turned out to be the name of a main character in the book and it I was amazed at how well he/she structured the poem to fit the book. Their other poetry is really great, you should look them up. By the way, I highly recommend the book too :)
